Sudan conflict: US Envoy Tom Perriello says there’s political will to end the war
The newly appointed US envoy to Sudan, Tom Perriello, says he’s seeing increased political will in the region to help bring the conflict to an end, including from countries that favour or support one of the warring parties.
Mr Perriello is on a marathon regional tour with stops in Uganda, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He spoke to Barbara Plett Usher in Nairobi, Kenya.
