Nigeria: 150 Feared Dead in Nigeria Boat Mishap
No fewer than 150 people are feared dead following a boat mishap in Niger State. The tragedy occurred at the Gbajibo community of the Mokwa Local Government Area around 8:30 p.m. on Monday.
The boat, reportedly carrying about 300 passengers, was returning from a Muslim festival when the incident occurred.
As of now, 150 passengers have been rescued, and the rescue operation is still ongoing.
