Buhari aide: Some people were happy boys were kidnapped
An aide to Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has alleged that some people were happy when hundreds of boys were kidnapped in Katsina state last week.
Bashir Ahmad tweeted that the people were now “not happy with their rescue”.
The authorities in Katsina state said the freed 344 boys were all in a good condition.
The authorities had previously given a lower figure than locals for the number of boys abducted and it is unclear if all are now safe.
