AFCON 2025 Draw Produces Tricky and Tough Groups

The 24 qualified teams for the prestigious Africa Cup of Nations from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, in Morocco have been drawn into six groups at a star-studded ceremony in Rabat.
Hosts Morocco are in Group A, along with Mali, Zambia, and Comoros; while seven-time winners Egypt face South Africa, Angola, and Zimbabwe in Group B. Nigeria will lock horns with Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania in Group C; and 2021 champions Senegal will go up against Democratic Republic of Congo, Benin and Botswana in Group D.
Winners in 2019, Algeria, will take on Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, and Sudan in Group E, while defending champions Cote d’Ivoire will face Cameroon, Gabon, and Mozambique in Group F.
