Africa: Covid-19 Cases Climb Across Continent

As of December 30, 2021, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 9,599,876 while over 188,696,109 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached 227,914 and 8,554,189 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases 3,433,554 and 90,935 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 959,098 ), Tunisia ( 724,092 ), Ethiopia ( 410,445 ), Libya ( 387,543 ) Egypt ( 383,857 ) and Kenya ( 288,951 ).
