Central African Republic war crimes suspect handed to ICC

The International Criminal Court says the Central African Republic has handed over a former rebel commander accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Mahamat Said Abdel Kani is charged with offences dating back to 2013.
He was a prominent figure in the “Seleka” faction – a mainly Muslim coalition which briefly seized power that year, before being ousted.
The ICC says Mr Said’s forces are alleged to have carried out “systematic” attacks against civilians.
No date has been set for his court appearance.
