King to speak to PM over phone as William gets back to work

It’s certainly not business as usual at the Palace, so here’s a quick look at what we have learned today:
- The regular meeting between the King and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will take place over the phone this week, rather than the usual weekly in-person audience
- During this afternoon’s PMQs, Sunak, Labour leader Keir Starmer and SNP leader Stephen Flynn extended their well wishes to the King
- Prince William is back on royal duties after taking time off while Princess Catherine recovers from surgery
- The Prince of Wales attended an investiture ceremony in Windsor this morning, and will be at a charity dinner for the London Air Ambulance this evening
- The King and Queen remain in Sandringham – we got our first glimpse of the King since learning of his diagnosis as they travelled to the Norfolk estate yesterday
- Before heading to Sandringham, he met Prince Harry in London for around 45 minutes
- The Duke of Sussex had rushed to the UK from California upon learning of his father’s illness
- It’s understood there areĀ no plans for Prince Harry to meet his brother Prince William, as the relationship between the pair remains strained.
