Parts of Sea Point submerges

Parts of Sea Point have been submerged underwater on Tuesday afternoon after a burst water pipe flooded Main Road. The torrents of water also flowed on St. John’s Road, causing chaos in one of the busiest areas of the Cape Town neighborhood. But, to the horror of many locals, a ‘sinkhole’ appeared to open up.

However, the most visually-striking image from this chaos was the sight of a parked car falling into the road. The sheer volume of water has created something resembling a sinkhole, swallowing the stationery vehicle. A tow-truck has since recovered the motor, which was salvaged before any serious damage was done.
