Popular Kenyan Actor Pleads For Help To Raise Ksh 625,275 For Son’s Treatment In India
A popular Kenyan actor Lawrence Gwako famously known as Kokoto Lijodi has pleaded with well-wishers to help him raise 625, 275 shillings for the treatment of his 13-year-old son Wisely Obama Gwako, a class 7 student at Kariobangi south primary school in Nairobi county.
According to the sources, his son Wisely suffers from sickle cell anaemia and had been admitted to Mama Lucy Kibaki for some time now. Reportedly, doctors have advised him that his son needs to undergo surgery for the removal of the spleen and vaccination which doctors recommend that he should undergo the surgery in India which was latest by August this year.
Wisely will also go for a bone marrow transplant which helps up to 80% in living a normal life. The actor who has cast in local television comedies such as Vioja Mahakamani, Daktari and Hullabaloo Estate has since stated that has been difficult for him to carter for his son’s medications ever since the Covid-19 pandemic that made everything to be at standstill.
Currently, his son is unable to go to school due to his condition which has made his stomach swell as a result of the enlargement of his spleen.
