South Africa may sponsor Tottenham Hotspur in 48 million euro deal

The Daily Maverick newspaper has reported that South Africa’s government is looking into sponsoring Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur in a three-year deal worth 48 million euros.
Pretoria hopes it would generate more tourism and, according to official documents seen by the paper, is on “the verge of being finalised.”
President Cyril Ramaphosa will give his State of the Nation address on February 10th and it’s believed the deal will be announced then.
Rwanda already has a football sponsorship deal with Premier League side Arsenal worth around 39 million euros that also promotes tourism.
