Africa: Continent Nears 105,000 Covid-19 Deaths

As of March 4, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 3,923,942 .

Reported deaths in Africa reached 104,679 and 3,502,616 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases – 1,516,262 – and 50,366 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 484,753 ), Tunisia ( 235,008 ), Egypt ( 184,168 ), Ethiopia ( 161,974 ), and Nigeria ( 156,960 ).
