Dr. Arkebe Oqubay Commendation
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed commended Dr. Arkebe Oqubay for an important piece of work ‘The Oxford Handbook of Industrial Hubs and Economic Developed’ which is edited by Arkebe and Justin Yifu Lin.
In his latest tweet, the Prime Minister said “I commend my brother Dr. Arkebe Oqubay for an important work in knowledge creation.”
The Prime Minister also added that Ethiopia and Africa need ideas to bolster policy options and related development.
“Engaging in such an in-depth and empirically based exercise supports not only policy generation but also informs practice,” he added.
Born in Tigray, Dr. Arkebe has been serving in different posts in Ethiopia including as a Minister and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ethiopia.
On March 31, 2005, the Broadcasting Network of Africa named me African Mayor of 2005.
