I Couldn’t Believe My Eyes: A Woman Stole Pants and Then Ate Glass in a Dodoma Supermarket

4 min read

I never imagined that a simple trip to the supermarket would turn into one of the most surreal experiences of my life. It was an ordinary day in Dodoma, Tanzania, and I had just entered a famous supermarket in the heart of the city, known for its wide variety of goods and bustling atmosphere.

The supermarket is a staple in the community, attracting people from all walks of life. Little did I know that I would be witnessing something straight out of a horror film.

As I strolled through the aisles, picking up a few essentials, a commotion near the clothing section caught my attention. I turned to see a woman, seemingly in her early thirties, being confronted by a security guard. At first, it seemed like a minor issue, but the situation escalated quickly. The guard accused her of stealing a pair of pants, and as he pulled the item out of her bag, the woman’s face turned ashen. She didn’t protest or try to explain herself; instead, she stood frozen, her eyes wide with terror.

Before anyone could react, the woman did something that left everyone in shock. She grabbed a nearby glass bottle from the shelf, smashed it on the floor, and began picking up the shards with her bare hands. People gasped, and a few screamed as she started chewing on the glass, blood trickling down her chin. It was a grotesque sight, something I had never seen before in my life. The sound of crunching glass was sickening, and her eyes were glazed over as if she was in some sort of trance.

I stood there, rooted to the spot, unable to comprehend what I was seeing. The security guard tried to restrain her, but she was wild, possessed by something beyond our understanding. Shoppers gathered around, some filming the incident on their phones, others whispering in fear. The air was thick with tension and disbelief. Who would do something so extreme? And why?

Then, the murmurings started. “It’s the owner’s spell,” someone whispered. “She must have tried to steal from him, and now the spirits are punishing her.” I had heard rumors about the owner of the supermarket before. It was said that he used powerful business spells from Mugwenu Doctors to protect his store and ensure its success. I never gave much thought to it, dismissing it as mere gossip. But now, seeing this woman eating glass as if it were bread, I started to wonder if there was some truth to those stories.

The situation grew more chaotic as the woman continued to harm herself, seemingly oblivious to the pain. Blood dripped onto the floor, mixing with the shattered glass. The security guard was at a loss, unsure of how to handle the situation without making it worse. Then, out of nowhere, the owner of the supermarket appeared. He was a tall man, well-dressed and calm amidst the panic around him. There was a commanding presence about him, and as soon as he walked in, the crowd parted, giving him space.

He approached the woman slowly, his eyes fixed on her with a look of deep concentration. “Stop,” he said firmly, but not loudly. It was as if he was speaking to her soul rather than her body. To everyone’s amazement, the woman stopped chewing and looked up at him, her eyes still glazed over but now filled with a mixture of fear and confusion. The owner whispered something under his breath, words that I couldn’t make out, and the woman dropped the glass from her hands. She collapsed onto the floor, sobbing, as if she had just woken up from a nightmare.

The owner knelt beside her, gently helping her up. “You are forgiven,” he said softly, “but never steal again.” The crowd watched in stunned silence as he led her out of the store, where she was later taken to a hospital. The moment he left, it was as if a spell had been lifted. The tension in the air dissipated, and people began to disperse, still whispering about what they had just witnessed.

I couldn’t shake off the feeling that I had just seen something otherworldly. The rumors about the owner’s connection to Mugwenu Doctors now seemed more credible than ever. It was one thing to hear about such incidents, but to witness it firsthand was something else entirely. The woman, once a petty thief, had been subjected to an unimaginable ordeal, and it was only through the intervention of the owner that she was saved.

As I left the supermarket that day, I couldn’t stop thinking about the power of the unseen forces at play. Whether you believe in them or not, there are things in this world that defy explanation, and that day in Dodoma, I became a witness to one of them. The image of that woman eating glass, the blood on the floor, and the calm, commanding presence of the owner will stay with me forever. It was a reminder that some lines should never be crossed, especially when it comes to tampering with things we don’t fully understand.

And as for the owner of that supermarket, his reputation as a man who wields powerful spells to protect his business has only grown stronger. People now speak of him with a mix of fear and respect, and I have no doubt that his store will continue to thrive, protected by forces beyond our comprehension.
