Gweru Woman Dies From Corona Virus As Police searches for Corona Virus Escapee in Zimbabwe
Law enforcement officers are in search for unidentified 33 year old male who was a corona virus victim said to have escaped from Harare polytechnic college isolation center last week on Monday. Recently approximately 180 returning citizens have escaped from Covid-19 quarantine facilities and yet to be accounted for.
Police have managed to arrest 28 escapees and put them under guarantee and the spokesperson ,Paul Nyathi has confirmed manhunt for Corona virus patient. Also another man who was being tested also escaped from Harare facility and he is said to be of 28 years of age.
Zimbabwe police are appealing to the general public and family members for any information that can lead to the arrest of the individuals so that they can be curtailed.
The police spokesperson- Paul Nyathi has also said that they have managed to arrest at least 180 border jumpers and smugglers.
On Monday, June 18,2020 some two other truck drivers were arrested for illegally carrying passengers which contravenes the stipulated directive and this added to 60 arrests since June 1,2020.
